Biography
My Start
Born April 7th, 1986, I grew up in Hartland, Michigan, a small town where I learned of my love for drawing. I started out drawing what I saw, many times drawing coloring book pages instead of coloring in them. Looney Toons, Snoopy, Sonic The Hedgehog, Earthworm Jim, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were some of my favorites. I never really thought I would have the chance to pursue art as a career though. I opted for a career in engineering for the longest time because I believed that one couldn't make a living at art.
My School
I decided to follow my passion in art when looking at colleges. I couldn't help but realize the creative talent that Pensacola Christian College had to offer. Sure, I had never actually taken any art classes (aside from a pottery, and jewelry class), but I was willing to work hard.
My Message
The world desperately needs art: art that communicates a message more important than anything this world has to offer — Jesus Christ. Art helps remind mankind what is truly important in life. Each landscape shows God’s beautiful creation; each portrait reminds us of the importance of people’s souls; each still life displays the beauty of light reflecting off any unique object we as artists choose to paint. My hope in this life as an artist is that the world may see through my art the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ.
